A 3.5-magnitude earthquake awoke Orange County residents this morning. The earthquake occurred at 2:56 AM on September 15th with its epicenter about one mile from San Joaquin Hills.
Residents across Orange County felt the quake, including those in Garden Grove, Irvine, Westminster, Huntington Beach, Anaheim and Santa Ana. No damage or injuries were reported; a few rattled nerves were the only damage the quake left.
"It took me a few seconds to realize what happened, then I pictured my bunk bed falling on me!" said CMHS junior Jennifer Daley.
Other students came to school unaware of the earthquake. "I didn't feel it," said Rachel Witter, a junior. Some, like Kyle Whiteside, thought they were dreaming when the quake occurred.Written By: Quan Nguyenhttp://quannguyen.weebly.com/
