This was the first time Delta students were able to experience this field trip, and they were not left dissatisfied. Accompanied by Mr. Ryan and Mrs. Kelly, all thirty-nine students were able to go into the room where all the sound effects are controlled such as the epic punches and kicks that are heard during the stunt show.
Students also went backstage of the WaterWorld stage and onto the actual set where the actors perform. From seeing the back of the set and how it operates to handling a machine gun (fake of course) students were not disappointed although many were looking forward to spending their time at the park.
Freshmen Alessia Vitiello describes her day at the park as “tiring, fast, and fun!”
In the duration of the tour, students were seated where the audience would normally sit (in the soak zone, which later many regretted) and were able to see a quick run of the many things that could possible go wrong. They made sure to check everything before their first show of the day.
Freshmen Paige Fisher says that her day at “Universal Studios was super fun, even the part we were required to do was a lot of fun, and the rest of the day was even greater!”
