What broke Jonathan’s fall was basically his head. Luckily he was wearing a helmet, unlike most of the student’s here. “I think that helmets are a great thing, because if I wasn’t wearing one I guarantee I would be in a coma right now.”
“Luckily, I left Hoag with a sprained wrist and knee, but my $2,800 bike was destroyed,” said Wilson, age 17. Paramedics, firemen and the police were called to the scene. Wilson was sent to Hoag Hospital and was discharged after a couple of hours with only a few cuts, and a sprained knee and wrist. Unfortunately his bike was not so lucky.
Whether the driver will pay for the damages is yet to be seen. Wilson is waiting on the police report to see if any legal action can be taken. He has had a quick recovery and can now be seen going through his school
day on crutches.
