At CMHS’s End of the Year Rally for 2010, Dr. D'Agostino introduced an incentive for CST testing, the "Gold Card." Students bearing a gold card were to receive: a "fast-pass" in the Nutrition/Lunch line, free admission to dances and home games, the possibility of an off-campus pass for Sophomores, and a free off-campus pass for Upperclassmen.
As the new year arrived, changes were made and it was decided that the Sophomore off-campus pass would instead be given out to those who pass the CAHSEE in March and Homecoming was no longer free for gold card holders.

CMHS’s API score, which is largely dependent on CST scores, rose from 747 to 774 points after the CST rewards program was introduced.
ASB Sticker sales have lowered substantially this year and many assert that this is because gold cards provide for most of the same things that ASB Stickers do. In addition to this, revenue previously received from sports games and dance admission is reduced due to gold cards.
Despite all this, if it turns out that the increase in test scores was in fact caused by the CST rewards program, it is likely that administration will continue to fund the program
