As the night rolled on, the line that nearly wrapped around the theater steadily increased with more eager fans. Standing there in that line I had several doubts, but they would soon be washed away. Several cries of relief and joy went up through the crowd as we were allowed to enter the theater.
All throughout the movie I was, time and time again, impressed with what I considered to be a job well done. When the film came to an end, I left that theater feeling fulfilled.
Peter Jackson has once again done the impossible and revisited Middle Earth in my opinion with success. The special effects were absolutely breath taking to watch—all the creatures from goblins to giant spiders were extremely life-like.
I was also impressed with the acting of Martin Freeman (Bilbo Baggins). He was by far the perfect choice for the role and was exactly as I perceived Bilbo to be in the book.
I was very skeptical of how they were going to make the film into three parts but they did a very good job keeping the story line of the book while still adding a few things which leads me to believe that the other two films will be just as stellar if not better.
Definitely one of the best films of the year, and I personally recommend that you should take a trip the Lonely Mountain yourself.
