To all those gamers that love to start a game where the previous one left off, you’re going to want to check out the newest Pokémon expansions: Black 2 and White 2.
Pokémon has always kept the tradition of making two similar versions of their game like Pokémon Red and Blue version. They would then follow up with a third game like Pokémon Yellow version and add awesome new features. This time Game Freak, the co-developers of the Pokémon games, made two games instead of one.
Nintendo wanted to spice it up a little by starting Black 2 and White 2 where Black or White ended instead of starting over completely. You can transfer data from Black or White if you had anything, and the farther you were in the original games, the more bonuses you would get in the expansions.
At the start of the game, you begin in Aspertia City two years in the future from the original games. Team Plasma is without their leader, N, and they now look like pirates instead of knights. Other characters in the story have changed as well. Bianca, who gives you your starting monster, is now Professor Juniper’s assistant and Cheren is the first gym leader. At this point everything seems fine but the way you obtain items is still the same: annoying and time consuming.
Habitat Mode in the Pokédex, Join Avenue, new Pokémon evolutions, and many other new features were added to Black 2 and White 2, but the best was the Pokémon World Tournament. The Pokémon World Tournament lets you battle gym leaders, Elite Four members, and champions from old Pokémon games. Words cannot describe the joy this brings to my heart.
As far as the third Pokémon game goes, in this case the third and fourth, Black 2 and White 2 has really stepped it up.
