In my mind, I’m saying, “Dude, who do you think you are! Just go to the back!”
Lunch line cutters are the worst. They end up taking all the yummy food, and leave the non-cutters, with all the food nobody really wants.
It’s extremely annoying to be waiting in line, and because of that one person that decided to get in front of you, you miss out on delicious biscuits.
It’s embarrassing and sad to think that line cutters can’t respect the rules and wait their turn. Shouldn’t they know better? I’m positive that common courtesy was very thoroughly taught in elementary school.
The problem here is that nobody says anything to the cutters. Oftentimes, they are either your friends or that super scary group that everybody just kind of avoids.
The same way no littering signs are posted around campus, no cutting signs should be posted. Maybe it will make the difference. It might give them a little sense of guilt, and send them to the back of the line.
There is nobody to blame here but the students. The lunch ladies are already doing their best by setting up the food and taking our orders. We as students should step it up, and wait our turn patiently.
We are not in elementary school anymore. Cutting in line can’t be solved with an “ooh you’re cutting, you cutter cutter peanut butter!”
