Estancia Tuesday night.
As we prepared to face our enemies, we felt pumped and ready to play.
We made sure to keep our pre-game routine of cheering and playing ninja.
However, the high energy seemed to be overpowered by our nerves as we began to play. In the first game there were 17 unforced errors, which is pretty much giving the other team 17 out of the 25 points without them
having to work for it.
The second game was a different story. We felt determined to win and would not put our heads down and give up. Michelle Luna helped lead us to victory with an 11 serve run.
We knew we had to take two other games in order to win the match. But we were not able to do so. In the final two games, Estancia came back harder and won. On our side of the net, it was quieter and less intense than we needed to be in order to come out on top.
My team is not discouraged by this loss. We do not think we played badly, we just made a lot of mistakes ourselves we need to fix. We keep coming together as a team and staying positive, which is a good
step towards winning the rest of our games and having a chance at CIF.
There is another game at Estancia on the 27th, which is our last game of the season. This game we will come out on top, so come watch us eat some Eagle meat!
