"[It was] a new start," said co-captain Catie Webster, senior.
Six players usually isn't enough to form a team in other sports, but this year's team was one of the largest in the past few years. In the 2013 season, matches had to be forfeited due to fluctuating and insufficient team size.
This year's season saw new beginnings. New coaches Swanson and Liotta were "involved" and gave the players more experience, said the co-captains, who began the sport as sophomores. The team agreed that this season was much more organized than previous years. They received new uniforms and agreed that the banquet the nicest they'd had.
The most memorable part of the season though, was not the uniforms or the banquet. The team beat Estancia and Calvary, which hadn't been done in the seniors' whole career.
"[This season was the] best we ever played," said senior co-captain Arisa Joi, whose highest score was 43.
The team graduated the two co-captains, seniors Arisa Joi and Catie Webster, leaving behind freshmen Jillian and Tabitha Zuniga, sophomore Juana Hernandez, and and junior Paige LaBare.
"[It was] the best season," the two captains agreed.
